The Steal Of The Month
2011 Delmas Blanquette De Limoux, Cuvee Berlene: A racey, clean sparkler from France. This wine shows great balance and abundant minerality, but its’ lively acidity and vivid citrus fruit are what make it as such great palate teaser or “cocktailer”. $14.00
2011 Brennfleck Silvaner, “Anna-Lena” Kabinett, Franken: Packaged in an always charming bocksbeutel this delicious Silvanner shows an elegance and silkiness that sets it apart. Nice acidic attack and clean finish. $12.00
2007 La Croix Chaptal Languedoc Rouge “Les Terrasses”: A blend of Carignan and Grenache with a little Syrah, this wine immediately announce itself with dark Chocolate, black coffee and brambles .This is a fantastically earthy wine showing blackberry and firm Tannins but without overstaying it’s welcome. Bright red and black cherries, leather, and some of those aromas you love this time of year –mulling spices and cedar… No doubt- this is the holiday crowd pleaser. It will go with just about any entrée: it can stand up to red meat but won’t bludgeon white meat either. $24.00
